In Good company: Mark Wahlberg

Posted by Peter Manning on

There aren’t many people who can transition from the rough streets of Boston’s South End and young life as a criminal, and go onto success in a music and modeling career and then become a major Hollywood star, producer, business man, and family man.  Mark Wahlberg (5'7") has managed to do it with honesty and self-awareness, hard work and talent.

We admire the strides he has made, the reconciliation he has achieved and the drive and integrity it has taken to get there.  He has been remarkably versatile in his movie roles and given heroic and moving performances in movies like "The Fighter" and "The Departed" as well as co-staring, hilariously, with a potty-mouthed teddy bear in "Ted."

As the father of four kids who he is teaching to give back, Wahlberg started a foundation to help underprivileged youth and is active in other charities.  We think he is great example of what a ‘not so tall’ guy can do when he puts his mind to it.  We look forward to seeing what he’ll achieve in the next 30 years.
